About Citizen Wallet

Citizen Wallet, offers communities the web 3 tools they need to easily launch, use and manage community currencies.

So far we have built:

  • Easy-to-use wallet native mobile app that takes away all the complexity of Web 3 (no gas fees, no configuration)
  • transaction monitoring dashboards
  • NFC wallet solution for a simple tap-to-pay or tap-to-earn in-person transactions
  • Administration dashboard with simple flow to create token faucets for easy distribution.
  • Dedicated Point of Sale application to accept tokens in shops.

Currently, people can already use the Citizen Wallet to manage and use their $BREAD tokens. Through an easy onboarding process, users can create a wallet, send and receive tokens.

Purpose

Give citizens the tools they need to build resilient and regenerative communities.

Make it easy for any community to create their own currency to facilitate exchanges with and within their community, and allocate resources to fund their public goods.

QUESTIONS!

How do you plan to incorporate BREAD in your org?

Citizen Wallet will accept BREAD as a payment option for any services and subscriptions of our solutions.

What do you plan to do in the short term with the funds received from Breadchain?

With the support of Breadchain funding, we plan to allocate development time to features which are specifically useful for $BREAD.

  • Integrating the $BREAD governance and voting functionality into the Citizen Wallet app
  • Further development of the marketplace plugin
  • Integrating into the Safe ecosystem and maybe supporting integration with Gnosis pay cards
  • Building templates to allow other communities to also set up yield-bearing tokens with a participatory budget mechanism (starting with Brussels PAY)

What processes do you have to determine how funds from Breadchain are allocated?

Citizen Wallet has a public Governance process for decisions on budget allocations that is published here:

https://citizenwallet.xyz/governance. All contributors to the Citizen Wallet token can cast a vote.

What have you done so far with the funds you’ve received?

We look forward to receiving our first funds :)

As a Collective, we currently stake 3000 BREAD to support the ecosystem and we are open to increasing this in the future if our treasury always it.

Citizen Wallet works in a completely transparent way. You can find an overview of our funding and treasury on our website: https://citizenwallet.xyz/funding
