Angel Minter Program

The Angel Minter Program invites aligned individuals and organisations to mint a minimum of 10,000 $BREAD and become early supporters of the Bread Cooperative ecosystem.

It’s a lossless donation. Your xDAI is always fully backed and can be reclaimed at any time. While it’s with us, it generates yield that funds the network. You give nothing away permanently — only the earnings get shared.

Why this matters

Most crypto funding runs through venture capital or grant programs that favour projects already well-resourced enough to apply. Bread Cooperative is building an alternative. The Solidarity Fund is a community-controlled treasury that funds cooperative and solidarity-focused projects through yield, not donations or investment deals.

Angel Minters are the people and organisations who helped bootstrap that treasury. Their $BREAD grows the pool, increases the yield distributed to member projects, and gives them a direct voice in where it goes.

What you get

Baking $BREAD gives you voting power in the monthly yield distribution. The more $BREAD you hold on average over the month, the more influence you have over where the yield goes.

Angel Minters also get recognised publicly. Organisations that mint into their treasuries are featured in the Angel Minter gallery, and we’ll announce the partnership across our network if you’d like.

Future updates will introduce voting boosts for early supporters — a way of thanking those who believed in the project early.

We recommend Jumper Exchange to move assets from other EVM chains to get xDAI on Gnosis Chain.

If you’re in a supported country, Monerium lets you receive an IBAN and make a bank transfer that automatically creates stablecoins in your wallet on Gnosis Chain.

For non-EVM crypto, Sideshift is a good option to bridge to an EVM chain first.
