We’re honored and excited that you’re interested in potentially joining as a member project! Here you can find more information about what we expect from projects and what you can expect in the application process. Note that this is the current process and we expect it to change over time as we grow.

We expect projects to be comfortable with being associated with the label post-capitalist in that we are critical of how the current system is working and we want to prefigure the infrastructure for what a new system can look like. One that is more democratic and equitable for everyone and not just the few at the top using the tools we have available to us.

While we are utilizing crypto tooling in order to facilitate the system, we do not expect every member project to be very involved in the crypto space. We are interested in both projects that are and ones that are focused on building grassroots movements whether there is crypto involved or not.

Here are our guiding principles which we expect member projects to take to heart.

BREAD Cooperative Wishlist

These wish lists are meant to help potential future members of BREAD Cooperative know how / if they would be a good fit to joining the cooperative with their own project. While a potential project does not need to be organized exactly according to every point, the more they are aligned with, the more likely they are to be accepted. If you feel that there are particularities about your organization, then feel free to explain when applying as a project in the form.
